A small fragment of William H. Whyte’s film: The Social Life of Small Urban Spaces. This witty and original film is about the open spaces of cities and why some of them work for people while others don’t. Beginning at New York’s Seagram Plaza, one of the most used open areas in the city, the film proceeds to analyze why this space is so popular and how other urban oases, both in New York and elsewhere, measure up. Based on direct observation of what people actually do, the film presents a remarkably engaging and informative tour of the urban landscape and looks at how it can be made more hospitable to those who live in it. |
Un pequeño fragmento de la película de s William H. Whyte: La vida social de los pequeños espacios urbanos. Esta película ingeniosa y original, vemos los espacios abiertos de las ciudades y por qué algunos de ellos trabajan para la gente, mientras que otros no lo hacen. A partir de Seagram de Nueva York Plaza, uno de los espacios abiertos más utilizado en la ciudad, los ingresos del cine para analizar por qué este espacio es tan popular y cómo otros oasis urbano, tanto en Nueva York y otros lugares. Máquina de espera
He estado necesitando una de estas máquinas en estos últimos días.
Me imagino que el diseñador Chris Eckhert debe de haberse encontrado con esta idea en una sala de espera del dentista o en una oficina de gobierno.
I’ve been needing one of these machines in recent days.
I guess Chris Eckhert designer must have found this idea in a dentist’s waiting room or in a government office.

Muchos cubos Rubik es igual a Rubikcubism
Todo lo que necesitas es una idea y tiempo.
El arte lo es todo y el diseño lo sabe, y sino nada mas ver un concepto conocido reinterpretado con nada menos que un cubo Rubik.

The art is everything and knows design. enough to see a familiar concept reinterpreted with nothing less than a Rubik cube.
Una de las cosas que mas me atrae de este proyecto es que la idea de juego está dominandolo todo, desde el principio incluso, la célula, el cubo, es un juego en sí.
Lo lúdico se expande desde el orígen y culmina con la propia exaltación de sí mismo, del juego.
Lo otro, los motivos representados es el todo, nuestra parte de la obra, lo que elijamos será también un juego, sin importar lo serio del tema.

The art is everything and knows design. enough to see a familiar concept reinterpreted with nothing less than a Rubik cube.One of the things I like about this project is that the idea of play is dominating everything from the beginning even the cell, the cube is a game itself.
Playfulness is expanding from the origin and ends with the exaltation of self, of the game.
The other, represented the reasons is our part of the work, which will also choose a game, no matter how serious the subject.
